Ralph did you ever finish your research? If so let me know if there are such things as online tarot readings.
I learned how to read tarot cards with the link above and I'm wondering if it really works.
I don't really think it works but if you get to try it on anyone anytime soon please let me know how it went.
I think that tarot cards work, but I do not think they read you your future. I think that each card has a meaning to it, and its just kind of random, when they are laid out. Its kind of to me like luck of the draw. Your either going to get a good fortune read to you, or a bad one.
I also think this stuff is fake and especially if someone is claming they can do it over the internet, yeah right.
he Tarot is a deck of cards that originated over 500 years ago in northern Italy. Although the Tarot was first used in a game called Triumphs, it was quickly adopted as a tool for divination, and popularized by occult societies such as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The early Tarot symbolism was deeply rooted in Medieval and Renaissance Europe, but over the centuries it has grown to incorporate everything from Astrology and Kabbalah to Runes (which predate the Tarot by 1000 years) and the I Ching (which predates the Tarot by 2500 years). Today, the Tarot is far and away the most popular tool for spiritual introspection in the West. Tarot reading done via internet, click on the link below. its for free by the way...
I do not also believe in such a kinda thing. Even before going to online sites, what is all there is in being a tarot reader? What use is it apart from being some kind of spiritual symbolism?
Whether you believe that sort of thing or not, itīs just something you do to pas the time. MAYBE it turns out to be true.! Enjoy
I myself do not believe in this kind of stuff. how could you possibly know the past and the future, and to some occasions the present happenings by reading a deck of cards with weird printable? My gosh how could that be possible... And to think that some people are actually trying this weird practice. When I happen to meet a tarot card reader in my way to a church somewhere in our place she said that they interpret those cards by its symbols..
One problem is that you view time and space as linear things... for example you perceive life as something that advances along a time line.. the past, the now, the future. What if, in fact, all time and spaces actually exists simultaneously at the same time and place. Although your brain only allows you to perceive this moment in time, you are actually experiences all of the past and the future in this moment! Once you start to grasp that concept you can start to get a glimpse at what reality is all about!
The Tarot, like other divination instruments like the I Ching, make you aware of the forces that shape our lives. Many people just live their lives in a state of blindness and completely unaware of their power to direct their lives. Thinking in terms of the Tarot, and learning about the influnces we have to deal with is highly educational. Non of this means, however, that blind or supernatural forces lead our lives. there is no "magic" involved, just our own wills. It mainly involves what other people can do to us, and what the social interactions with others can mean. Good luck!
Post #15 is about someone propagating his own belief and trying to make us buy into it. Come on, life is not so much of a predictable phenomenon that you can easily alter; you will lead a careless life if you do not know how to carry on yourself responsibly. There is no such thing as using some card sequence to determine which sort of forces control your slife. I stand to be corrected but just learn to believe in the right things people.
So what is the right thing post #16? For me there is nothing wrong in believing in those kind of stuffs like Tarot reading. But you are right by the fact that we are not to be dictated by cards and stuffs like that. We are the master of our own fate. But just in case some people patronize this kind of activities it is not bad though. But let us just be observant on what we patronize and what we believe.
Cwmoy, do you realize that you are doing exactly what you just criticized? You told #15 not to make others believe, then you said "just learn to believe the right things". So you're telling US what to believe. It's kind of arrogant for anybody to think that his/her opinion is right and others are wrong. Each person has his/her reasons to believe what they do and should be respected. And it's interesting to read all the different beliefs and opinions. That's what forums are for! So be open folks, you might get some new inspiration!
I agree with Natascha, very well said. I agree in the sense that we have to respect others belief and views as we expect them to respect ours. Though It is seemingly hard to believe in such things like tarot card reading, still our personal preferences should not step unto others, right? If you do not believe, or believes in this kind of thing then go on and share to us why? Forums is always there for that purpose.
Well, I said I stood to be corrected initially. My post did not serve to suggest a way forward. If I may expound a little bit, my point was that as much as you do not let anyone direct your life, do not sell yourself short in the case of doing the correct things. You agree with me that you can chart your way forward without external inteference. I agree with Doris about life being viewed linearly
Tarot card reading has been something that has existed for quite some time now. Sometimes called 'the book of the divination of the gypsies', they are known traditionally as a deck of 78 cards with various pictures on them. The past 10 decades have seen them being used to 'reveal' hidden truths and foresee the future of the person receiving the reading. These cards also come in many varieties
Not sure about you, but I get pro tarot card readings over over at Most Gifted Psychics. So far, they've been spot on!
Right, once you grasp the idea and the concept you start to believe in them. Then you become affected. I think you better choose what you believe in. Have you watched the movie Skeleton Key? It is sometimes dangerous to believe on stuffs that are seems to be weird and out of your usual doings. It is not bad to try new things but let us be picky and cautious.
I would not doubt that one has gotten spot on readings from psychics, but I believe that they truly just give you, or simply leave a person with some heavy words of inspiration that normally would motivate a person into making the reading happen, even on a subconscious level.
