| Movies: I'm not usually a movies guy, but recently my dad and I have been going So we went and say "knowing" with Nick Cage. We saw Slumdog MIllionaire (which he had to wait like 6 or 8 weeks before it came to Iowa, but it eventually did). We've seen a number of pretty good films since then. (didn't see the Cruise flick about nazi Germany (we're not to happy about nazi germany), but we may see "The Reader". At any rate, did any one else see "KNOWING" AND what are your thoughts. I found it to be "pretty good" for a thriller that digs deep into the past (if you call 50 year 'deep into that past') but I also though it was awesome how the "mother" the original clairvoyant, was found in the basment scratching all the other coordinates into the door frame. Great writing, I guess. I, naturally , forgot who wrote the book, OF COURSE., but he at least knows how to write. I'd recommend "knowing" to anyone with nothing else to do. You'll enjoy it (get a good dinner before hand) -john in iowa |
