Is superstition real or not?

To many Dominicans, superstition is very real. The supestition comes from several cultural origins.

Perhaps the main one, is, of course, the African-originated Voodoo which has a mayor influence in the eastern side of the island of Hispaniola.

Does anyone have any experiences in this? The politicians have their own private "hechiceros", or masters of witchcraft.

I know that many will not accept that they do this. It is done in private.

When workers are sent to clean cemeteries, they usually report finding the remains of voodoo and satanic rituals in and around tombs.

It is claimed that people disappear that are taken by these groups.

If anyone has any experiences in this area, let us know...

Wow! I think this is a little scary! I know that this isn't being practiced anymore by some people. Our world is just so techie and influenced by a lot of changes. But I know that there are still places that have this cultural practices. I hope that this will not be harmful to us individuals.
